Family Reunion

We're back! We traveled down to the Branson area (specifically, Rockaway Beach) for the annual family reunion of Jason's family. There were more than 50 people who made the trip and we had a great time visiting family that we only get to see a few times per year. We are lucky that there are kids for the girls to play with--and play they did! If Jocelyn had her way, she would've never come back to the cabin to sleep. If Olivia had her way, she would've rarely left it.

We arrived on Wednesday morning and came back this morning. I can't say we 'did' much... just relax, swim and talk. Jason also gets to add playing pitch to his list. There is always a card game going at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Other nice traditions include a Saturday evening potluck where Jason's uncle makes some killer BBQ (that's good!), Jason and I sneaking off to a movie while Jason's mom and dad watch the kids (thank you!!!!), the clink-clink-clink of the washer's games going late into the night (and starting up early in the morning), breakfast at Grandma Donna's cabin, and just generally letting the kids run around and play and knowing that they are surrounded by a big extended family that is always looking out for them. We could've never been able to let Jocelyn play as much as she did if it weren't for others watching her in the pool for us. She could play there for hours and Olivia just didn't have the stamina. Maybe next year...
