Florida 2009 - Cocoa Beach

Cocoa Beach was Jocelyn's favorite part of the entire trip. She LOVED the ocean and playing in the waves. We had to drag her out each time. We stayed a bit too long the first day and even though we applied sunscreen multiple times, Livi got sunburned. After that, her behavior really went down hill. She really liked to argue! So, because of that, Wednesday was a really tough day. We only went to the ocean in the morning and the evening on Wednesday and that worked pretty well. We spent a lot of downtime in our hotel room and looked around town. I thought our hotel was pretty ideal. We had a fridge and microwave so we were able to have most of our meals in the room. There was a grocery store 1 block away and the beach was close outside our door.

We went to the airport early because the person I spoke with on the phone stated there were several seats on an earlier flight. Well, those were gone by the time we got there (there would've been questionable seats on the flight from Atlanta to KC). We chose to stick with our scheduled flight but it meant that we would be at the airport from 1230 until our flight left at 630pm. That wait actually went really well considering the trouble we had the previous day. Livi found a book she loved and worked at it for hours. Josie did the same. The plane ride and car drive went well and we returned late last night!

What a fun trip. You were just down the beach from where we used to live. Right after Alexis was born, we lived in Melbourne, FL.
