Gearing up for the Holidays!

Well, another busy week here (are there any other kind?). Olivia was sick on Sunday. She woke up and came into our room around 1230am saying "I need a towel, I spit in my bed". I was groggy so it didn't really click until I got her a towel and patted her on the back saying "go to sleep, honey". Her back was wet. I followed her to her room and smelled that overwhelming, unmistakable smell--puke. Ick! Anyway, we ended up staying up on the couch and watching movie after movie for the rest of the night. She threw up every 15-20 minutes for about 4 hours and then took a break for a little while before repeating the process.

School was canceled on Monday and Tuesday so Jason and I each took a day off and stayed home with the girls. Livi was doing better but we thought it best not to risk it.

We had the opportunity to make sugar cookies for the neighbors again. The girls had such a great time decorating (and sampling). They enjoy delivering the cookies as much as they enjoy Halloween so we call it our 'reverse trick-or-treat'. The girls are the only small children on our street and everyone is so nice to them and gets treats for Halloween even though no one else comes trick-or-treating. We are really appreciative of that! So, I bundled up the girls and we went door to door delivering cookies. Olivia would yell "merry Christmas!!!" and jump up and down at each house. Jocelyn, as always, is a champ and happy to talk with everyone.

Olivia's last day of preschool at the Special Ed. School was on Friday. She will miss her friends a lot there and her teachers, but this is obviously the best direction for her. The girls had holiday parties and enjoyed themselves.

Jocelyn had another belt testing this morning. The next belt color is yellow. We will find out in a couple of weeks how it went. She did get some patches on her uniform for completing her chore lists! It makes it look pretty sharp :)

We took advantage of the low interest rates and refinanced our home this week as well.

AND....of course, today is the big day for the puppy to come home! We picked up Cody around 2:15 and brought him home. We're trying to give him some rest, but it's very hard to leave a cute little puppy alone so he's getting a lot of love. His hair is already quite a bit longer than in the picture that we posted the other day. It changes the way he looks a little bit. Here are a couple of pictures from his first day at home...

oooohhhhh! Your puppy is SO sweet. What a little muffin. I know the girls are going to just love him. Good luck with O's transition. I really hope everything goes smoothly for her and for you. We rcv'd your card this past week. Thanks for thinking of us. The girl's pic was adorable. Have a great holiday season. Hopefully you can take some time off to enjoy it! Ryan only has Christmas Eve and Christmas. I guess it is better than nothing! :) Merry Christmas!
