On Sunday, my family went to what we have called "The Other Place" or "The VonHolten Place" growing up. It is part of my dad's land that is not located at the farm where they live. Primarily wooded, there is a creek and fields as well as an old house. This is a good place to go hunting and a great place to spend the day with the kids. Mom and Dad organized a fun day with plenty of time to play in the creek, a camp fire, and a hayride. Dad made small boats for each of the kids and mom made a variety of great snacks and desserts. The
kids had a great time and want to know when we are going back. They loved exploring and playing in the water with the boats as well as roasting hot dogs and marshmallows (just ask Olivia about that!). The hay ride was the perfect way to end the day. Thanks, mom and dad for organizing such a great time! I included a lot of pictures for those who didn't bring a camera (you can right click on the picture and select copy and then paste it onto a document).

Looks like you had loads of fun. Hope no one got nipped by a crawdad! Love, Minnie
Ohhhhh.... it looks so warm there. We have already had snow. I hope winter isn't already upon us. What a fun day. Can I be adopted in to the family? :)
