On Saturday, we drove the remaining 4 hours or so to Gatlinburg. We arrived mid-afternoon and were again lucky that the cabin was ready early. The cabin was really wonderful. It had 3 floors containing 3 bedrooms (plus a family room that could be used as an additional bedroom for 4 people if you used the bunk beds and fold out sofa), kitchen, living room, and the family room. There were decks for each floor and it had a hot tub. In the family room, there were games (Pac Man, Golf, etc.), an air hockey table and a pool table. Jocelyn & Olivia spent hours playing there over the course of vacation. We spent quite a bit of time there and it was really nice to have a place that had a lot of space and we could unwind. It was also great that the girls were very entertained on their own.
Some other good news to report--Olivia did a great job with Vinnie!!! She has been afraid of dogs, but got to the point that she was best of friends with Vinnie. She was petting him and going up to him with no problem. She kept asking him to come and play with her. He was another playmate!
Jocelyn had 2
things on her agenda: swim and play mini-golf. There was a mini-golf place where we had to turn to drive to the cabin and she saw it right away. We went ahead and played mini-golf that day. The girls did pretty well--meaning that Jocelyn participated through the entire 18 holes and didn't get frustrated and Olivia didn't get frustrated and was in a good mood.

What a fun trip. The scenery looks beautiful. I wish we were closer to enjoy all of those fun cities. What a blessing that O did so well on the trip. It really makes things so much more enjoyable when these little guys are happy. I wish you the same success for the CO camp.
