Keep on Keepin on

Things are still moving along at our house. We've had an interesting November/early December so far:
  • the water leak, of course, which ruined our living room floor
  • Jason got cellulitus in his leg from an insect bite (yikes!)
  • Jason and Josie both needed glasses--new for Jason
  • the deep freeze died
  • the ladder to get us into the attic broke
  • we've had to call the plumber a couple additional times for randomly occurring little spots of water since the leak
In addition to these flare-ups, we have had some excitement as well:
  • Livi's winter concert for school (she did so great--more on that later!)
  • Livi's first dance recital (will take place this morning)
  • work has been CRAZY
  • Jason's mom had back surgery and is recovering at home
  • and, of course, CHRISTMAS!
All in all, we are running a bit behind but hope that the outcomes will be great.

Jocelyn reminded me of some of the things we have to be grateful for. She wrote a poem (typed below). This one she did all on here own:

Light

Light is fire burning bright
light helps me see
in the dark peaceful night
light will burn my finger
if I touch it
light is stars falling
from the sky
sending my wishes
to God
light is me
bright and happy
springing with joy
